John Glenn Grad Cooper Kassan Earns Scholar All-American Honors

Elwood-John H. Glenn High School Class of 2026 graduate Cooper Kassan was recently selected to the United Soccer Coaches High School Scholar All-America Team. Kassan will be invited to attend the USC’s All-America ceremony, to be held Jan, 23, 2027 in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention in Kansas City, Missouri.

Kassan helped lead the John Glenn Knights to two county championships and a Long Island Championship. In his senior season, he led Long Island in goals and earned All-State, All-Region, first team All-Long Island and Small Schools Player of the Year honors. 

Kassan is continuing his soccer career this fall at Springfield College, majoring in business.

“What an outstanding honor,” Athletic Director Dave Shanahan said. “Cooper is an exceptional soccer player.”
