John Glenn Senior Aidan Lee Earns 100th Career Wrestling Victory

Aiden Lee

Elwood-John H. Glenn High School senior Aidan Lee recently hit a major milestone in his stellar wrestling career, earning his 100th win.

“This was a huge accomplishment for me,” Lee said. “Looking back on my freshman year, I never thought that I would take my career this far. Not just with the number of wins, but all the accolades in general. Compared to a lot of other wrestlers at this level, I started pretty late. I wrestled in eighth grade, but didn’t really take it that seriously until after my freshman year.”

Lee’s breakout season for the Knights came in 2025, when the junior earned 35 wins and placed in the state championship for the first time.

“That’s the point where I knew I was at this level, and I’m ready to win it all this year,” said Lee, who plans to make a run at a state title in February. The senior will continue wrestling this fall at New York University, where he plans to major in finance.

“I just committed a couple of weeks ago,” Lee said. “I initially wasn’t even planning on wrestling in college, but I met the coach at NYU and we hit it off. I visited a practice back in September, met all my teammates and loved it there. It’s a great school for my major.”

“I am very proud of Aidan,” Glenn wrestling coach TJ Brocking said. “I always tell the guys that we use wrestling to make you a better human being, and he used wrestling to get into one of the best business schools in the country. I think the networking out of NYU in general, and being a member of the wrestling team, is really going to help him throughout the rest of his life. He is an example of what every student athlete on a team should be: smart, hardworking, goal-oriented, successful, mentally tough. He is the total package.”
