John Glenn Wrestling Coach Earns Milestone 300th Victory

Elwood-John H. Glenn High School’s head wrestling coach TJ Brocking recently earned his 300thh win a milestone achievement in a stellar 19-year coaching career.

“I think 300 is a good number and I’m proud of it, but I am prouder of all the kids that I’ve had throughout the 19 years,” Brocking said. “I never really structured my schedule for regular season wins. My schedule is designed for the kids to be their best in the postseason. Looking back on it, we’ve had some really good teams with nice winning streaks, so it’s more of a credit to the kids that I was lucky enough to coach.”

“To get that many career wins, it's a point of pride for the school district and for the wrestling program,” Athletic Director Dave Shanahan said.
