Tomeo and Weiss Reelected at Elwood Board of Ed Reorganization

President James Tomeo was reelected to his post at the Elwood School District’s annual Board of Education reorganization meeting on July 1, and board member Deborah Weiss was reelected as vice president. Tomeo, Weiss, reelected board member Thomas Scarola and new board member Patricia Haack were sworn in during the meeting. The Board also welcomed newly hired district personnel, including new Harley Avenue Primary School teachers Annemarie Crisci and Alyxandra Joy, who were in attendance.     
  
“I take this role very seriously, and look forward to a great 2026-2027 school year,” Tomeo said.
